Our menu of voluntary benefits include: Short and Long-term Disability, Group and Individual Life, Long-term Care, Dental, Vision Plans, Limited medical benefits and niche products such as accident, hospital and cancer plans. Many programs we offer help employees to offset the out of pocket expenses that a high deductible health plan can create.

Barbara Saxton – President VBS

Barbara is President of Voluntary Benefit Solutions now known as VBS. VBS has 10 employees and manages over 200 mid to large size accounts throughout the country.

She has over 28 years of financial services and insurance industry background. Prior to her launch of VBS in 2001 she managed investment programs for Fleet Bank, Webster Bank and Peoples Securities. Barbara started her investment career in 1980 with some of Wall Street’s premier firms such as Merrill Lynch and PaineWebber, where she received her extensive training and background in the securities industry. Her expertise on the securities side is in both fixed income markets and HSA investment accounts. On the employee benefits side, she specializes in disability and life benefits.

Barbara works primarily with brokers, financial planners and investment advisors in identifying challenges and opportunities within employee benefit offerings. She is responsible for all new account development and implementation at VBS. Barbara is VBS’s HSA advisor and consultant helping consumers understand the new consumer driven arena.
